Arjen Robben surprised the world football fans with his dribbling and speed

Netherlands legend Arjen Robben was one of the best footballers the world has ever seen. Arjen Robben was the best winger of his era. Robben’s abilities in dribbling skills, speed, ball control and long-range shots have made him stand out in the world of football. Born in 1984, Robben played for the Netherlands under-15 team in 1999.

A 16-year-old Robben was signed by Dutch club Groningen to their senior team in 2000. Robben joined PSV two years later and was named the Netherlands’ Player of the Year the same year. He also became Eredivisie champions with PSV that season. But Robben only played for PSV for two years. Robben was signed by English Premier League club Chelsea in 2004.

However, Robben was unable to produce a consistent performance at Chelsea due to a series of injuries. However, Robben has scored 15 goals in 67 appearances for Chelsea. Then in 2007, Spanish club Real Madrid signed Robben from Chelsea. Then, in 2009, Robben was signed by German club Bayern Munich for €25 million.

It must be said that Robben’s full game came out after his arrival at Bayern Munich. In 2013, when Bayern Munich won the Champions League, Robben scored the winning goal for Bayern in the final. That same year, Robben was named in the FIFPro World XI and Team of the Year. By the time he retired from the Netherlands national team in 2017, Robben had scored 37 goals in international football.
