Manchester United is one of the best clubs in the English Premier League. Manchester United is the team that has won the most titles in Premier League history. Manchester United’s record of 20 First Division/Premier League titles has not been broken by any other team till date. Manchester United is a team that always gives their players and coaches the respect and recognition they deserve. The biggest example of this is the names and awards of their club awards given by Manchester United today.
The MUFC Members Player of the Year was the first to be named the Manchester United Fans Player of the Season, voted by Manchester United fans each year. Later, the award was named after former Manchester United manager Sir Matt Busby. Matt Busby, who played for Manchester City and Liverpool in his senior career, managed Manchester United for two spells, 1945–1969 and 1970–1971.
Matt Busby has also lifted 5 First Division titles with Manchester United during this period. The Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award is given to the player chosen by Manchester United fans as Player of the Season today in his memory. Manchester United has also maintained their culture of awarding players to Manchester United’s youth team.
Denzil Haroun Reserve Team Player of the Year is the annual award given to Manchester United’s under-21 team player of the year. The award is named in memory of former Manchester United club director Denzil Haroun. The Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award is given to the best players in Manchester United’s under-18 team. Jimmy Murphy is a long-time assistant manager of Manchester United.
